This weekend, U. S. National Training Centers will be held at the Dana Farber Field House in Foxboro. The following Bolts players players were invited to attend: Duff Thomson ’94, Scott Greenwood ’95, Alex Ainscough ’95, Denis Martinez ’96, Mohamed Kenawy ’96, Jack Doran ’97, Miles Robinson ’97, Jacob Maddox ’98 and Noah Gans ’98.
U.S. Soccer Training Centers are single day, invitational training sessions run by U.S. Soccer staff for elite players. Training Centers (TCs) are a relatively new platform designed to improve player identification, player development and coach development. Each TC will be administered by the Academy Conference’s Technical Advisor, assisted by Academy coaches and National Team Coaches. Training Centers are open to the top players from any team, club or organization at no cost to the player.
Bolts Director of Coaching Brian Ainscough stated, "I think this is a great opportunity for our players to work with the U.S. staff coaches and showcase their talent." Brian went on to say, "we are proud to have Bolts players represented regularly at the Training Centers and feel strongly that the Bolts Academy program can play a critical role in helping talented players get identified. Scott Prozeller is jut one example, he was identified for the U20 team in 2009."
